Blue Rosette Long Drop Earrings

Long, sculptural and beautifully understated compared with some of the more heavily ornamented pieces in the collection.

These earrings begin with a geometric floral rosette set with vivid blue glass-like accents. Below, an elongated textured metal form creates a strong architectural silhouette, finished with a small articulated embossed pendant that moves freely at the bottom.

The combination of geometric construction, colored glass and suspended metal elements connects visually to a broader Afghan and Central Asian jewelry vocabulary, where ornament was often built in articulated sections so that a piece changed subtly as the wearer moved. Historical museum examples from the region combine decorative wire, glass stones, chains and embossed pendants in similarly layered constructions.
